6, 2008. Rosemary was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, on March 31, 1914. She was the second of four children born to Thomas Benjamin and Mary Ellen Lynch Niland. She was named after all of her aunts, Rose, Catherine and Mary and was always proud to be SO honored. Rosemary attended elementary school at Wilson and graduated from St Mary's Springs Academy in 1931.

She then became a student at Oshkosh State Teachers College where she graduated with a B.A. degree in education in 1935. Rosemary pursued a teaching career, one that she loved very much. She taught English literature and drama at Brownsville and Stockbridge before returning to teach at Fond du Lac High School. On May 8, 1943, Rosemary enlisted in the U.S.

Navy to serve her country in a time of war. She was assigned to a high-level intelligence position in the Office of Strategic Services and stationed in Washington D.C. She continued in this capacity throughout World War IL. On January 11, 1946, she was discharged from service with the rank of LT jg and returned to her hometown to again teach at Fond du Lac High School. During this time she completed her master's degree in education through the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

She was recruited to return to government service and returned to Washington D.C. to participate in the development of the Central Intelligence Agency. Throughout her career with the CIA she was a policy analyst on Soviet intelligence. On September 9, 1950, Rosemary wed Joseph Gabriel Dooley of New York City at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in D.C.

Joe had served as a LT in the U.S. Navy from January 1, 1943, through July 23, 1946, and, upon discharge, located in Washington D.C. to begin a highly successful career in corporate law. The Dooley's lived in Alexandria, later building a home in McLean. As lifelong Democrats they were honored to have been invited to, and participated in, the inaugural events of the Kennedy administration.

In 1980, following retirement, Rosemary and Joe, and Rosemary's sister, Joan moved to Boca Raton, Florida where she Rosemary Dooley resided until her death. Throughout their lives Rosemary, Joe and Joan spent summers at the family cottage on Lake Winnebago. It was always for them "home." Six generations of Nilands have shared their love of this special place. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gabriel Dooley; her sister, Joan Cecilia Niland; her brothers John Francis and Thomas Benjamin Niland; and two nephews, Kevin Patrick and Thomas Michael. She is survived by one brother-in-law, Raymond "Pete" Dooley of Pompton Place, New Jersey; and two sisters-in-law, Gladys Adams Niland of Aiken, S.C., and Mary Riordan Niland of Nampa, Idaho.

She leaves one cousin, Mary Jane McCormick Conlon of Sturgeon Bay, and eight nieces and nephews and their families: Mary Ellen of Nashville, TN; Patricia of Aiken, S.C.; Barry of Harrisonburg, John, Mary Carol, Michael, Maureen and Patrick of Nampa, Idaho. Visitation: The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Fond du Lac, on Friday, October 17, 2008 1 from 10 until 11 a.m. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church on Friday, October 17, 2008.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at CIBO in the Ramada Plaza Hotel following the services. Rosemary's life was guided by her faith. She was a living example of God's directive to "Love one another as I have loved you." She loved everyone she met and they in turn loved her back. She was a constant presence in the lives of her nieces and nephews.

Her legacy to us in one of love of family, pride in our Irish heritage, service to country and, most of all, a commitment to our Catholic faith. Oct. 14, 2008 Dorothy Krebsbach Dorothy Krebsbach, 91, of St.

Francis Terrace, Fond du Lac, died on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at the St. Francis Home. She was born Aug. 19, 1917, in Mount Calvary, the daughter of the late Frank P.

and Elizabeth F. Bleuel Mannenbach. On Nov. 6, 1941, she married Aloys P. Krebsbach at Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary.

Mrs. Krebsbach was a graduate of Holy Cross School, Fond du Lac Senior High School, Oshkosh State Teachers College and Marian College. She taught school in the town of Forest, Holy Cross School in Mount Calvary and Holy Rosary School in New Holstein. For many years she was a volunteer tutor at Evans School in Fond du Lac until the time of her death. She was a member of Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church and its Christian Women Society, the Daughters of Isabella and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

Survivors include her five children, John of Rhinelander, Mary (Lindy) Nelson of Marshfield, Robert (Linda Fred John Zwicky, 90, formerly of 350 Winnebago North Fond du Lac, lived at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, WI, since January 2007 and passed away Oct. 7, 2008, at King. He was born in Fond du Lac on Aug. 29, 1918, a son to Fred J. and Lois Hansen Zwicky and a grandson to Casper and Mary Peters Zwicky and Fred and Mary Jane "Jennie" Pickering Hansen.

He graduated from Fond du Lac Senior High School in 1935 at the age of 16. Fred was a member in the U.S. Army and served in World War II, 610th Ordnance Base Armament Maintenance Battalion, based in England and Germany. On June 9, 1942, he married Loretta E. Schneider at St.

Peter's Church, St. Peter. She passed away June 7, 1977. On Jan. 6, 1979, he married Eunice G.

Manthey Ziebert at St. Mary's Church, Fond du Lac. She passed away Oct. 8, 1995. Fred worked as a specifications engineer at for almost 35 years, retiring in January 1981.

After the war he owned Silica Hardware until his brother-in-law, Alphonse, took over. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Post 664, Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 374, Holy Family Parish, St. Mary's Holy Name Society, Calvary Parents Guild, Fond du Lac Sailing Club and Giddings Lewis Staff Club. He was active in boy scouting, head of scouting at St. Mary's for many years, treasurer of Badger Council, and he received the St.

George Award. Fred enjoyed sailing, reading, model trains, attending grandchildren's events, and dining at Hardees for breakfast with his buddies. Survivors include six children and eight grandchildren, John and Donna Zwicky of Lombard, IL, and their daughter, Elizabeth, Stephen and Lauretta Zwicky of Charleston, SC, Gerard and Sheryl Zwicky of Park Ridge, IL, and their son, Andrew, Mary and Robert Leb of Lomira and their children, Michael, Eric, and Katie, Bernard and Beth Zwicky of Oshkosh and their children, Laurie Soczka Petrick of Appleton, Susan Soczka of Little Chute, Jodi (Brian) Soczka Hudson and Amy Soczka of Milwaukee, and Suzanne and Thomas Freund of Lamartine and their children, Heather, Christopher and Ashley; six step-children and 10 step-grandchildren, Kathy and Jon Westphal of Port Washington and their children, Amy and Alex, Karl and Rose Ziebert of Fond du Lac and their son, Josh (Amy) Ziebert, Ken and Sharon Ziebert of Omro and their children, Lori, Jaclyn and Nick, Elaine and Kevin Burke of Madison and their children, Collin and Michael, Anne and Stephen Schneider of Fond du Lac, and Paul and Debra Ziebert of Campbellsport and their children, Victoria and Bailey; two brothers, Ray and Jean Zwicky of Fond du Lac and Don and Vivian Zwicky of Jackson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Crescentia Schneider Schmitz of Mount Calvary, Helena Schneider Giebel of Eldorado, Alphonse and Shirley Schneider of Fond du Lac, Orlando Schnei- der of Mount Calvary, Roman and Marcella Schneider of Silica, Adolph and Virginia Schneider of St. Peter, Cleo (Manthey) and Stan Hlaban of Ixonia, and Earl and Jan Manthey of Greendale; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. He is preceded in death by spouses, siblings and in-laws: Flora and Arnold Baatz, Albert Zwicky, infant sister Margaret, Irene Kranig Wettstein, William Kranig, Ambrose Wettstein, Ida and Henry "Ralph" Heyde, Betty Zwicky, Gilbert Schmitz, Bernard and Marian Schneider, Paul Giebel, Imelda and Edward Nett, Dorothy and Alex Hefter, Rita Schneider, Athaline Schneider and Roger and Marilyn Schneider; stepson Tod Ziebert; and granddaughter, Tiffany Freund.

Loehr (Vander Zanden) Marian K. Loehr (Vander age 87, of 412 Wisconsin' North Fond du Lac, died peacefully on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Hospice Home of Hope. "Mom is leaving her family on earth to meet her family in heaven." She was born on Sept. 4, 1921, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Baird) Lange.

On Sept. 29, 1945, she married Clarence H. Vander Zanden. He preceded her in death in 1953. On July 25, 1992, she married Joseph H.

Loehr at Presentation Church. He preceded her in death in 1995. Marian worked as a nurse's aid for 23 years at Care Center East. She was a member of Presentation Church since 1945, a member of Sweet Adeline's Chorus for many years, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the ladies' card club always looking for a good sheepshead game. Survivors include three sons, Howard C.

(Joanne) Thomas Joseph Mulligan, age 86, of Waupun, died on Sunday, October 12, 2008, at the Christian Home in Waupun. Thomas was born on May 23, 1922, at his parent's farm in the Town of York, Dane County, WI. He was united in marriage on June 29, 1946, at the parsonage of the Union Congregational Church in Columbus. Thomas was employed at the Wisconsin State Prison in Waupun for 19 years, working as a supervisor for most of that time. He also worked part-time for Blow Hardware.

Following his retirement from the prison, he worked there full-time and was later employed at Silica Appliance. Thomas was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting, trapping and fishing. He was a loving husband and devoted Vander Zanden of Stoughton, WI, and their children, Sherry and Jeff of Stoughton, Tom R. (Sandy) Vander Zanden of Theresa, WI, and their daughter, Connie (Scott) Olson of Fond du Lac, and Wayne E. (Jackie) Vander Zanden of Verona, WI, and their son Chad, and Wayne's son, Brian (Julie) Vander Zanden; one greatgrandchild, Hailey Lynn of Lisle, IL; special friends, Andy and Joan Kohlman of North Fond du Lac; brother-in-law, Joe (Grace) Vander Zanden of Madison; two sisters-inlaw, Barb Vander Zanden of Little Chute and Marguerite Lange of Fond du Lac; brother-in-law, Norman (Rosie) Loehr of Mount Calvary; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence H. Vander Zanden; her husband Joseph H. Loehr; two brothers, Harold and Elmer Lange; and a sister- Thomas J. Mulligan father. His family has many fond memories of camping together, enjoying fishing, swimming, and waterskiing at area lakes.

Thomas and Shirley spent many fun times fishing and traveling together. He was a longtime member of the Union Congregational Church of Waupun. Thomas is survived by Shirley, his wife of 62 years; one daughter, Sharon M. Roberts of Bloomington, MN; two sons, John T. Mulligan of Madison; and Robert P.

Mulligan of Poynette; his grandson, Kevin V. Roberts of Bloomington, MN; a great-grandson, Kaleb V. Stout-Roberts; two sisters, Margaret Notheis, of Tuscan AZ, and Marion Stebbens of Tomah, WI; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. in-law, Margaret Lange. Visitation: Visitation will be Monday, Oct.

13, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Fond du Lac. I Services: The funeral will be Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at 11.
