Is 1-800-Xfinity legit? ›

If a communication, whether it be an email, text message, or phone call claiming to be from Comcast or Xfinity, seems suspicious in asking for payment or personal information, call us at 800-xfinity (800-934-6489) to verify if the communication is legitimate.

Even at half off, that's hundreds of dollars you could be losing. Remember the warning from Comcast: The company does not call customers unless you call first. A phone call claims you're about to miss out on a 50% discount on your cable bill. It's a scam.

Dial "0". Most of the time, pressing "0" will take you to an operator. If it doesn't, press it multiple times. For many systems, pressing it twenty times will do the trick.

Receiving phone calls from 888-893-0731 claiming to be Xfinity. No voice mail left but repeatedly calls. Call shows as Xfinity and the number shows as verified but I believe it is a phishing scam.

You can access voicemail by using the phone app on your device or dialing *86. Call your mobile phone number. Press # during the voicemail greeting.

As of 05/07/2024 The Voicemail app has been removed from the X1 Apps menu. Customers attempting to launch the app by voice command will see a tip card stating that the app is no longer available, but they can still check voicemail online or from their home phone. I am an Official Xfinity Employee.
